Sustainability Efforts

Our supply chain initiatives emphasise sustainability by utilising eco-friendly products and diverse food and beverage offerings.

  • Materials: we have introduced cotton fabrics to support sustainability efforts. By choosing cotton, a natural and renewable resource, we aim to reduce the environmental impact associated with synthetic materials and promote eco-friendly practices. We follow guidelines such as the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Global Recycled Standards (GRS), and OEKO-TEX Standard 100. All our bed and bath linen are 100% OEKO-TEX®-certified.
  • Seafood: we are committed to making environmentally and socially responsible decisions in our dining experience. Our Sustainable Seafood Sourcing Guidelines align with science-based recommendations from the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF)’s Local Seafood Guide. We prioritise procuring fish and seafood certified by international bodies such as the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), Global Aquaculture Alliance-Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP), and GLOBAL G.A.P.
  • Chemicals: we work with our cleaning chemical suppliers to source safe chemicals, protecting our guests and colleagues. Currently, 86% of our cleaning chemicals are rated as green.

Sustainable Alternatives: we explore and expand the range of products we procure with sustainability attributes, such as lower carbon beef, fairtrade coffee, organic tea, and cage-free eggs.

COD Mediterranean is using 74% cage-free eggs to date.

  • Over 54% of our venues in Cyprus, Macau and Manila now serve alternatives to meat, and 90% of our outlets offer vegetarian options on their menus
