Prime Steakhouse: First restaurant in Cyprus to earn Wine Spectator’s Best of Award of Excellence
Cyprus, June 2026 – Prime Steakhouse at City of Dreams Mediterranean has been honoured for its outstanding wine programme, becoming the first restaurant in Cyprus to be awarded Wine Spectator’s two-glass Best of Award of Excellence in the 2026 Restaurant Awards.
The award celebrates the restaurant’s exceptional wine list, which offers wine enthusiasts an outstanding selection of labels from around the world. Carefully curated and thoughtfully paired with the restaurant’s refined culinary offerings, the wine programme elevates the dining experience and creates memorable moments for every visitor.
Best of Award of Excellence recipients display excellent breadth across multiple winegrowing regions and significant vertical depth of top producers, along with superior presentation.
Receiving a Wine Spectator Award is also a testament to the restaurant’s expertly managed wine cellar, as well as its deep understanding of food and wine pairing. The distinction further underlines the restaurant’s commitment to excellence, as Wine Spectator recognised venues are renowned for offering access to rare, premium and well-chosen labels.

Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards recognize excellence in restaurant wine service across three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award.
