As a signatory to the Global Tourism Plastics Initiative (GTPI), led by the UN Environment Program and the World Tourism Organisation, alongside the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Melco has committed to reporting on problematic single-use plastic across our operations annually. In addition to this, we have committed to:

• Eliminating unnecessary plastic packaging
• Adopting reuse models or reusable alternatives
• Encouriage our value chain to use reusable, recyclable, or compostable packaging
• Increasing recycled content in plastic packaging and items
• Collaborating and investing to increase recycling and composting rates for plastic
   

Our progress to date includes:

• Removing single-use plastic (SUP) bottles in guest rooms and replacing them with NORDAQ water filtered glass bottles
• Replacing small SUP bottles with large refillable dispensers for wet amenities
• Removing unnecessary items from guestroom setups, such as shoe mitts and shoeshine kits, and providing them only on request
